Renewal Machine Transformer Ud1 and Uk1 The frequency-elastic mains coupler converters consist mainly of two rigidly coupled rotating electric machines – a double-fed three-phase asynchronous motor (50Hz) with GTO power control and a single-phase synchronous generator with direct current excitation. The power from the public 50Hz three-phase network is downgraded to the operating voltage/machine voltage (here 10.5kV) of the asynchronous machine by means of a 50Hz three-phase transformer from 110kV and upstretched to 110kV by a single-phase 16.7Hz single-phase transformer. As part of the planned recommissioning of the Hamburg-Harburg transformer plant, the two transformers Ud1 (50Hz) and Uk1 (16.7Hz) are to be delivered anew.
