De Omgevingsvisie gaat over alle terreinen van de leefomgeving, en op de samenhang tussen ruimte, water, milieu, natuur, landschap, gezondheid, verkeer en vervoer, infrastructuur, cultureel erfgoed, veiligheid en klimaat. In de Omgevingsvisie wil de gemeente ambities en beleidsdoelen voor de fysieke leefomgeving voor de lange termijn vastleggen. De visie vormt de basis voor alle ontwikkelingen binnen de fysieke leefomgeving en daaraan gerelateerde ontwikkelingen binnen de sociaal-maatschappelijke en economische opgaven. het opleveren van een omgevingsvisie.
