Currently the corporate virtualization infrastructure is deployed on a set of Cisco UCS equipment acquired in 2015 and once they have reached the end of their useful life, their technological renewal is required by deploying a total of 10 new servers in the two HPe Synergy chassis that the university has already deployed in its two CPDs. This action is intended to renew, update and expand the existing equipment. The UIB has in each of its two corporate CPDs, a HPe Synergy server chassis with free slots to host new servers and its expansion is required with the acquisition of 5 new servers in each of them. Likewise, the technological upgrade of the existing Fibre Channel switch infrastructure in each of these two CPDs is required, through the acquisition of 4 new FC switches, since the existing ones (FC Cisco 9148) were acquired in 2015 and have reached the end of their useful life.
