Description

The VDV eTicket Service (VDV-ETS) is responsible for the German public transport standard ‘((eTicket Deutschland). This represents the technical and organizational platform for the operation of interoperable electronic ticketing in public transport in Germany and Luxembourg. In addition to the creation and publication of the technical standard, the establishment of organisational rules for participants and the testing of components used, VDV-ETS also operates central infrastructures for the (((eTicket-Germany participating transport companies and associations. The public transport sector is currently preparing to introduce a new version of the standard under the name “(((etiCORE). This new version of the standard makes it necessary to make new systems available to participants. The main task of the tendered system is the management of the participating transport companies/associations and manufacturers. This system also orders the security components such as SAMs or PKI certificates or manages org IDs and applications as well as documents. The award includes the following systems: 1. Registration portal (RP): Here, a user should be able to register a participating company. On the other hand, the RP must enable the VDV eTicket Service to check and approve this registration. It must be possible to assign different roles to different users, so that only authorized users can, for example, execute security-relevant orders. The RP serves as an upstream instance for the ESH listed below as well as for other systems of the VDV-ETS. 2. (((eTicket Security Hub (ESH): The provision of a system through which customers can manage contracts and applications within the framework of (((eTicket Germany. It also allows previously authenticated users to order security components for electronic ticketing. The system must also be able to communicate with existing systems and interfaces and exchange data seamlessly. 3. Single Sign On (SSO): After successful registration, the SSO is intended to enable the user to gain access to our platforms such as ESH, Jira and other systems. The aim of the project is to ensure a seamless and secure management of all security-related aspects of (((eTicket-Germany) while increasing user-friendliness and efficiency.
