Description

Havforskningsinstituttet (HI) [the Institute of Marine Research] carries out DNA extraction and molecular analysis on a large number and spectrum of samples. Preparation and establishment of new methods within genetics and genomics, while the methods are wanted to be used as tools in a growing number of projects, makes automation inevitable. To handle an at times large number of samples in available space, a system is needed for liquid handling for both DNA extraction and complex pipetting applications. HI therefore intends to procure a Hamilton Microlab Star liquid handling system, configured for Omega Bio-tek Mag-Bind® chemistry, supplied by VWR.
The procurement includes a framework agreement for instrument-specific consumables.
The Institute of Marine Research will not sign a contract with the supplier before 10 days after this notice date at the earliest.
