Description

The Hoogheemraadschap De Stichtse Rijnlanden (HDSR) is the administrator of the Canalised Hollandsche IJssel (ghe). The ghee is important for water drainage and during dry periods for the transit of freshwater to the West of the Netherlands. In addition, the ghij is an important sailing route for shipping and recreation. Because the current structures along the southern side of the Oudewater-Montfoort route are in poor condition, these structures need to be replaced. The flood defence must also be put in order to protect the hinterland from flooding now and in the future, parts of this barrier no longer meet the standard of stability and height. Between Oudewater and Montfoort, the bank on the south side of the ghee is in poor condition. The current bank consists of various types of constructions such as shavings and sheet piles. They need to be replaced. Because almost the entire piece plays an outside talud assignment, replacing the banks will be about 6 million euros.
