Award of Contract to Oracle EMEA Limited for the purchase of licence renewals for the various Oracle products
Dublin City Council has awarded a contract via a Derogation process to Oracle EMEA Limited for the purchase of licence renewals for the various Oracle products for a period of 1 year. Dublin City Council are relying on Article 32.2 (b)(ii) for the award of this contract. Article 32.2 (b)(ii) states: The negotiated procedure without prior publication may be used for public works contracts, public supply contracts and public service contracts in any of the following cases: (b) where the works, supplies or services can be supplied only by a particular economic operator for any of the following reasons: (ii) competition is absent for technical reasons; Dublin City Council has purchased licences from Oracle EMEA Limited to cover the use of Oracle software such as Oracle eBusiness Suite (Financials) and Oracle Customer Relationship Management used throughout the organisation. Support and Maintenance is required from Oracle for these products and allows for upgrade to the latest products version at no additional cost. There is no other supplier who can provide these licences. This contract is being awarded for 1 year at a cost of €1,018,038.51.
