Description

Turku district treatment plant Oy is a service provider owned by 14 municipalities and provides its owners and other customers with a good quality waste water treatment service in a cost-effective manner. The company is responsible for and takes care of the operation of the Kakolanmäki waste water treatment plant and the result of its cleaning.
The outlet pipe from the Kakolanmäki waste water treatment plant is currently linked to the urban runoff drain in the city of Turku. In addition to the occasional overshooting capacity, the use of storm water sewers is expected to increase in the future. Therefore, according to the preliminary plans, a new discharge pipe will be built at the Kakolanmäki waste water treatment plant at sea.
