Regions

The regional policy of the European Union, also referred to as cohesion policy, is the policy aimed at improving the economic well-being of regions in the EU and at reducing regional disparities. Addressed to all EU regions and cities, it contains measures to boost sustainable development, economic growth and jobs, and to improve quality of life through strategic investment. It represents, among other things, an active form of EU solidarity, thanks to which people in less-developed regions can seize the opportunities created by the largest market in the world.
