Economist, MBA and a team leader at the Stakeholder Relations unit of the Publications Office of the EU. Previous to this role, he worked as a teacher of Economics, a consultant and a financial officer in the private sector.

Mare MAXWELL

Deputy Head of the Multimedia and Publications Unit at the Publications Office at the Publications Office. Mare Maxwell has always had design close to her heart. She studied visual communication design at the University of Alberta, Canada, and got a master’s in information management from Tallinn University, Estonia. She joined the Publications Office in 2006, and today manages the prepress and graphic design team. Her next focus is to help accessibility become a natural element in design and prepress processes.

Mathilde GROSJEAN

Working within the communication unit of DG EMPL, Mathilde is responsible for coordination and planning of all publication production efforts, including all outputs for online and print publications. She provides supports to author units, from the concept phase to the publishing. Passionate about removing barriers and making information accessible to everyone, Mathilde developed over the years a humble expertise on online accessibility. She is committed to raise awareness on the need to improve the accessibility of EU publications and wishes DG EMPL to lead by example.

Beatrice PACIONI

Beatrice Pacioni is a licensed Graphic Designer and works in OP since 1991. She did her first accessible publications in 2014. In 2014 she produced, for the Fundamental Right Agency her first accessible publications, inviting people with disabilities to vote and hasn't stopped since.

Maria JEREZ

Maria JEREZ

Accessibility and multimedia specialist at the Publications Office. Maria Jerez is a professional with extensive scientific and publishing experience, currently working for the Publications Office as an accessibility and multimedia specialist. She has a degree in chemistry from Complutense University of Madrid and Greenwich University (UK), and a European PhD in biochemistry. Before joining the European Commission, she worked for several research centres and scientific journals, including the Nature Publishing Group, where she was the editorial director for South Europe and Latin America.
