AO 10122: Eurovoc Thesaurus Management and Dissemination System

Open procedure

The purpose of this call for tender is the purchase of a licence for a Thesaurus Management System (TMS), the customization of the TMS, the development of a public dissemination website and the annual maintenance. The TMS shall support concurrent access by several users with appropriate access rights and must be accessible through a common external and ergonomic web-based interface. The new system shall address the Eurovoc specific needs, for instance: the management of the Eurovoc multilingual conceptual model and workflow attributes, the publishing and aggregation of Eurovoc releases into a new public web site associated with an advanced search engine, and a content management platform to manage the web site editorial content. The selected TMS will be considered as a reference tool for thesaurus management and dissemination for the Publications Office. Therefore other EU Institutions could purchase a licence for the selected system for the management and dissemination of their controlled vocabularies. The new system shall be based on standard technologies and fit into the technical environment of the Publications Office where it will be hosted.
