The Commission may consult the group on any matter relating to marine and fisheries biology, fishing gear technology, fisheries economics, fisheries governance, ecosystem effects of fisheries, aquaculture or similar disciplines. This report deals with the implementation of Regulation (EU) 812/2004 on the incidental catches of cetaceans. The report explores the annual reports of the Member States, and undertakes a holistic analysis of the overall efficacy of the regulation.
