The Maritime Common Information Sharing Environment (CISE) is a European initiative that aims at creating a political, organisational, technical and legal environment that fosters cooperation and information sharing across the authorities involved in maritime surveillance. This report provides the final outcome of the study having as objective to discover and analyse similar large-scale initiatives (i.e. peer-developments) around the world, preferably in the maritime domain, to derive lessons learned and good practices that could be useful for consolidating CISE in general and its interoperability solutions in particular.
