This is the first Eurojust casework report on the application of Regulation (EU) 2018/1805 on the mutual recognition of freezing orders and confiscation orders. Over the years, Eurojust has developed practical knowledge of the issues, solutions and best practices that can significantly contribute to effectiveness of the recovery of criminal assets. In 2024 alone, Eurojust supported national authorities in the freezing of approximately EUR 1.4 billion. The practical knowledge relevant to the application of the Regulation is summarised in this report.
