EU emergency trust fund for Africa
2018 annual report
Publication metadata
The EUTF for Africa was created at the Valletta Summit on Migration held in November 2015 as an implementing tool that provides a rapid, flexible and effective response to an emergency situation. With resources amounting to more than EUR 4.2 billion, the EUTF for Africa helps addressing challenges and fosters stability in the Sahel and Lake Chad, the Horn of Africa and North of Africa regions. In
line with the EU’s comprehensive approach towards migration and forced displacement, the EUTF for Africa contributes to better migration management, and helps tackling the root causes of destabilisation, forced displacement and irregular migration by promoting economic and equal opportunities, security and development.
