Deepening the intelligence on markets, technologies and trends
Nanotechnology to 2025 and beyond
Publication metadata
This report offers a view on nanotechnology in Europe, how it is developing and expected to grow to 2025 and beyond. The study used a combination of complementary methods including technology and market scanning and evaluation, exploration and validation with experts, illustrative case studies, scenarios and the use of proxies. The report takes a value chain approach, considering measures that
affect nanotechnology from basic research to market deployment. It draws in particular on opinions from the market and industry and focuses on identifying the measures with the greatest potential impact on the growth and exploitation of nanotechnology in products and markets across sectors including health, transport and energy.
