What does the EU mean for us, academics, scientists and researchers?
Publication metadata
The European Union (EU) means a drive to boost research and innovation at the highest level. If you run your own business or are an academic with innovative ideas you can take advantage of the largest ever EU research and innovation funding programme. This is known as Horizon 2020 (http://ec.europa.eu/programmes/horizon2020). The programme is worth nearly GBP 67 billion and covers the next 7 years
as part of the current multiannual financial framework (MFF). The United Kingdom benefits greatly from these initiatives and plays an active part in their development.
