On 23 November 2007, the Twenty-First Session of the Hague Conference on Private International Law, meeting in The Hague, adopted the text of two international instruments designed to facilitate the international recovery of maintenance, the Hague Convention on the International Recovery of Child Support and Other Forms of Family Maintenance and the Hague Protocol on the Law Applicable to Maintenance Obligations.
