Public opinion on future innovations, science and technology
National report : Germany - Study
In general there are hardly any differences in the perception of innovative technologies between younger and older participants or between lower and higher levels of education. The young have grown up with information technology, while some of their older counterparts have had to learn how to deal with it. However, nowadays it is used by both equally. In all groups there are participants who look forward to upcoming innovations, and those who are more sceptical and tend to probe for drawbacks. The only difference found in this research is that young people act more carelessly in terms of... private data divulgence, but have the same concerns as the older participants regarding data abuse.
