L’industria è importante: un posto di lavoro su cinque è nell’industria. Le nuove tecnologie portano cambiamenti rapidi e abbattono le barriere tra le catene di approvvigionamento, i clienti e le imprese. L’Europa deve innovare continuamente se vuole mantenersi competitiva sul mercato mondiale. L’UE deve coltivare la sua base di talenti, proprio come deve difendere il suo ruolo di regolamentazione
e normazione su scala globale. La presente pubblicazione offre un assaggio delle attività di ampio respiro svolte dall’Unione europea, che daranno impulso alla competitività industriale a beneficio di tutti gli europei. Le iniziative mirano a creare un’economia circolare, sostenibile, inclusiva e pronta per il futuro. Le parti interessate sono invitate a utilizzare questo opuscolo come punto di riferimento per identificare le iniziative di loro utilità e interesse, e per individuare le lacune ancora da colmare al fine di delineare la strada da percorrere.
