The study focuses on the impact of new developments in NMP on current and future skills needs and skills gaps. The goal of the study is to provide insight in the potential current and future skills gaps in the field of NMP between what companies in Europe need and what the education and training system offers. Five industrial sectors in which NMP technologies are expected to have an impact and that represent different parts of the value chain are looked at in detail: automotive, chemicals, machinery & equipment, paper and textiles. Based on this insight recommendations have been formulated as to what are the necessary measures that have to be taken in order to close the gaps between supply and demand on the NMP ‘skills market’ on time.
