Fife Council require a Gas Safe Registered Contractor to maintain the commercial catering equipment installed in 286 public buildings in a safe, satisfactory and reliable operating condition and to ensure the Council complies with it's duties under Health and Safety Legislation.
The contract covers all Fife Council public buildings including schools, halls, sports centres, older person's s homes, office buildings, sheltered housing complexes and also Social Work Services group homes which are of a more domestic nature.
The Contract includes the provision of a 24/7 call out service with 1.5 hour, 1st thing next morning (8:00) if called after 14:00, 8 hour or a 5 day response as specified by the Contract Administrator with a first time fix where possible and where not a 48 hour fix time to restore to fully operational service.
Fife Council is under no obligation to award any contracts under this framework agreement with the highest scoring providers,in so far as there is a sufficient number of tenders who satisfy the criteria and submit admissible tenders which meet the award criteria. Where a tenderer has been formally selected by Fife Council as a party to the framework agreement, that tenderer shall be referred to as a Service Provider.
