This independent evaluation assesses the EU’s Policy Coherence for Development (PCD) actions for the period 2009-2016 in order to improve the outcomes and impact of the relevant EU policies. It analyzes the extent to which the EU has taken into account the objectives of development cooperation in the policies that it implements, and the extent to which these policies have contributed to poverty reduction and sustainable growth. Field visits were made to 8 countries: Armenia, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Kenya, Mauritania, Mozambique, Senegal, and Vietnam.
