Open Data
The Open Data Portal (ODP) of the European Union (launched on 10 April 2013) aims at unleashing the data potential by making them more easily discoverable and by promoting the use of open standards. The ODP will progressively include data coming from all EU institutions, agencies and bodies going from statistics, sound recordings to geospatial data … basically anything that can be reused. About 6000 data are already available.
