European Court of Auditors, guardian of the EU’s finances
The European Court of Auditors (ECA) is the independent external audit institution of the European Union (EU). Its main role is to check that the EU budget is correctly implemented. To carry out its tasks, the ECA undertakes detailed audits of EU income or expenditure at all levels of the administration of EU funds.
