Forenede Kongerige, Det-St Andrews: Organisering af arkitektkonkurrencer
The University of St Andrews wish to engage with a selected group of Architects to complete an Architectural Design Competition. The Competition Design Submissions are for a new Music Centre located in Queen's Terrace, St Andrews and shall be completed to Design Concept standards.
The architectural proposals are to be designed with flair and innovation encompassing performance interiors whilst also demonstrating that practical, cost-effective structural engineering and building services solutions have been considered. The historical significance of the new proposals on the Queen's Terrace site must reflect the surrounding heritage environment and the association to St Regulus Hall, The Bute Building and St Mary's Quadrangle.
Proposals must be suitably developed to allow project concept costs and construction strategies to be prepared as well as addressing issues of sustainability, operations and maintenance.
The successful architect will be required to work with, and take the lead designer responsibilities to, a wider design team procured independently by the University to complete the design to the end of RIBA Stage 2. Initial appointments will be to Stage 2 with an option to confirm continuation. As part of the Design Competition Submission the architect will be required to submit full design fees for architectural services for full project delivery. This fee will be taken into account when appraising the tender proposals of shortlisted candidates.
